When you place an order with us, we request your name, contact information, billing address, shipping address and email address. When you order online, your credit card is processed by an outside company. We do not have access to any of your credit card information. We consider your information to be private, and we keep this information on a secure server to protect it from outside parties. We use the information only for the limited purposes of processing your orders, administering our site, notifying you of products or special offers that may be of interest to you (only if you select to be included on our mailing list). We do not share your private information with anyone. We will not sell, lease, lend or publish any information we receive from you.
Securing your Information
We know you are trying to balance the convenience of shopping on-line at your convenience with concerns about identity theft and fraud.
We use GeoTrust SSL web server certificate. It provides secure online transactions with a 256-bit encryption and assures that any confidential information and transactions cannot be viewed, intercepted or altered. And because our authentication system is the most advanced in the industry, your information is safe and secure.
Our primary shipper is Federal Express. On occasion, we will ship by United States Postal Service if it is more cost effective. Under normal circumstances, most orders ship out within 48-72 hours, Monday through Friday. You will be notified automatically via email when your order has shipped and you will be able to track your order using the link provided in this email.
We do not do backorders. If the item is out of stock we will hold your order if we will receive the item within five days. If it will be longer, we will contact you.
Estimated Shipping Costs
We have only given you estimated shipping charges because bird toys vary widely in size and volume. It’s difficult to provide accurate shipping costs. The estimated shipping charges are the maximum you will pay. Your actual shipping charges may be lower. Your order will be shipped either by Federal Express or USPS Priority mail. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is shipped.
The Playful Parrot does not accept returns. Our primary concern is the health, safety, and welfare of your bird(s). As a consumer, you can have the peace of mind knowing that the toys we ship have never been in contact with any other birds. We provide pictures, descriptions, and dimensions to help you make the best choices, but if you have any questions, we will be happy to help you in any way we can.
If you receive a product that is damaged or broken, please contact us immediately. Contact Us and we will work with you to make it right.
Please check your order on delivery. We double check all orders before they ship, but if you receive your order and something is missing, please contact us via phone or email within 48 hours of receipt. If we forgot something, we’ll get it to you. We’re sorry, but we can’t make exceptions to the 48 hour time frame policy.
When you order, you are going to get an automated reply that let’s you know we have received your order. When your package ships, you will get an email with your tracking number so you can track your order.
If a package gets lost, you have seven days to report it to us. This will enable us to begin the detective work from our end. This time frame will enable us to either find the package or make a claim against the shipper for loss or damage. The Playful Parrot cannot be responsible for loss or damage to packages after the shippers liability period.
